Exeter Adaptive Ski Club is an independent registered charity, providing an opportunity to disabled individuals in the South West to participate in the sport of skiing.
We have regular weekly sessions on Fridays from 5.15 pm to 6.30 pm, from September to June (closed July and August). These sessions are multi-disability sessions, and with the aid of specialist equipment and techniques we aim to accommodate every form of disability. If there is sufficient demand we sometimes also have an additional session at 4.00 pm on Fridays specifically for sit skis. In addition, we provide facilities for many special needs groups for local schools, colleges and other support groups for disabled youngsters.
We will need to have details of your disability in advance of skiing, and we recommend that you have clearance from your doctor that skiing will not harm you, particularly if you have been recently diagnosed. We ask you to complete a short questionnaire in advance of your first skiing session, and return this to the email address below.
As all instructors and helpers give their time on a voluntary basis. the Ski Club generously makes only a nominal charge for these sessions at £4.00 for members and £6.00 for non-members.
Please contact John Redwood in advance of your first session in order to make arrangements, and obtain the questionnaire. Once registered on the system, please book in for the weekly sessions through the Book Now page of the Ski Club website.
